The Truman Annex homes is a collection of single family and townhomes built on former naval station property. Several of the homes are historic and date from the 1880s. The remaining homes were developed and built beginning in the 1990s and conform with Old Town Key West design and maintain a community scale and visual quality harmonious with The Truman Annex National Historic District and the Key West National Historic District. While most buildings within The Truman Annex are not truly historic, the annex resides within the Key West Historic District and as such, must comply with Historic District architectural requirements.
